Giving Back.
Making a positive impact extends beyond our offices. At Taylor & Martin, the charity we support each year is chosen through team nominations, ensuring our initiatives reflect the causes our people care about. Our team has proudly worked with partners such as Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity and SAMH. Our past charity initiatives include decorating Christmas trees at the Children’s Hospital, hosting our own Pickleball tournament, charity Munro climbs, and charity cycling events.
We also actively encourage our team members to take the initiative and run their own fundraising activities. Giving back is an important part of who we are, bringing our team together and creating a positive impact for the community we serve.

Here’s a glimpse into the experiences of a few team members who have developed their careers with us, along with some words from our wider team.
Craig Brown, Property Manager
Craig Brown joined Taylor & Martin in 2021 as a Trainee Property Manager after deciding to take his career in a new direction. Within a year, he progressed to Property Manager and hasn’t looked back since.
“What stood out to me from day one was the support,” Craig says. “Everyone, from the directors to the property managers, takes time to help you develop and give you the best chance to succeed.”
He enjoys the variety his role offers, from site visits and client meetings to managing repairs and maintenance. “No two days are the same – there’s always something new to keep you engaged.”
Craig has also seen the Glasgow office grow from a small team to over 20 people. “Despite the growth, we’ve kept the same positive, supportive culture, and that’s what makes Taylor & Martin special.”
Looking ahead, Craig is excited to continue growing with the company. “I’ve seen how far we’ve come, and I’m proud to be part of what’s next.”
Rachel Melville, Property Manager
Rachel Melville joined Taylor & Martin as a trainee in February 2023 and quickly found her stride, progressing to Property Manager within just a few months. With no prior experience in the industry, she credits the team’s support and hands-on training for helping her build confidence and skills from day one.
“I was completely moulded from scratch,” Rachel explains. “Everyone took the time to teach me how factoring works in practice, from legislation to site visits and client communication.”
As her experience grew, so did her responsibilities — from assisting with updates and meetings to managing her own developments and overseeing projects from start to finish.
Rachel describes every day as different, combining office work with on-site visits, client contact, and problem-solving. “There’s always something new to learn,” she says.
Her first appraisal, where she passed her probation early and earned a promotion, stands out as a proud milestone. “It really cemented my confidence and made me want to keep improving.”
Now, Rachel looks forward to the future. “I’d love to help train and mentor new property managers one day. Taylor & Martin has given me such a strong foundation, and I want to help others experience the same.”
